"I initially studied Food Science in Nigeria, during which I completed an internship and thesis. After graduation, I had a short industrial working experience. I believe this laid the foundation for my MSc journey. My interest in Food Quality and Safety stemmed from its interdisciplinary nature and the quality of education in Bayreuth. I was among the first student cohort, this of course brought uncertainties, but the programme unfolded amazingly. The balance between lectures and practical applications was excellent. Furthermore, a mandatory internship and thesis implied at least one year of working experience for me. Finally, upon graduation, there would be possibilities for an academic-oriented career (Ph.D.) or a position in the industry. Mine for now would however lead me to the industry sector. "During my bachelor's degree in Bioanalysis at Coburg University, I took a course on food technology that inspired me to pursue a career in food science. I chose the Food Quality and Safety programme because of the interdisciplinary and international orientation.
